Calumet's Shreveport facility maintenance leads to lower sale volumes

Oct 20 (Reuters) - Calumet Specialty Products Partners said on Friday that maintenance at its Shreveport oil products refinery during the third quarter led to a loss of nearly 300,000 barrels of lube oil and wax sales.

The maintenance has since been completed, and the Louisiana-based facility is currently processing over 45,000 barrels per day of feed, the company said.

Calumet, which manufactures and produces specialty products, also said the turnaround time for its Montana renewable hydrogen plant would be brought forward to November instead of the earlier expected 2024.

The facility would continue to operate at reduced throughput until the turnaround begins.

After the turnaround, the company expects the plant to process over 12,000 barrels per day of predominantly untreated feed in December, up from the 11,000 barrels in August.

The company had flagged in August a leak in the steam recovery system within its renewable hydrogen plant. The unit is expected to be replaced by November. (Reporting by Seher Dareen in Bengaluru; Editing by Shilpi Majumdar)
