UPDATE, January 28, 2019: If you love something, let it go and if it's meant to be it'll come back to you. So goes the story of the Cap'n Crunch Chocolatey Berry Crunch cereal that is back again this year.

Last year, the duel-flavored cereal was released for a limited-time leading up to Valentine's Day, and the same is likely true this year because the box still has that limited edition label on it. This is just all the more reason to act fast and change your breakfast game for V-day.

The cereal is a blend of chocolatey and red berry pieces that come in the Cap'n Crunch Berries boxes. Chocolate, especially chocolate-covered fruit, is a Valentine's Day must, so this cereal is right in line for the kinds of flavors this time of year requires. Original Post, January 23, 2019: Valentine's Day is coming up, and brands are putting out limited-edition heart-shaped, red and pink, and extra chocolatey-flavored foods like nobody's business. (Don't believe me? Here are 22!) Oreo, Starburst, and Reese's are obvious contenders, but some less expected foods are getting in the game too. New to the fold: Cap'n Crunch and its limited-edition Chocolatey Berry Crunch.

The limited-edition box has just recently been spotted in stores, and is listed on parent company Quaker Oats' website. Per their description, "If you like the taste of chocolate, you will love this Crunch. But this limited-edition Chocolatey Berry-licious treat won’t last forever! Better get your hands on a bowl berry fast!"

The mash-up is basically a combination of Crunch Berries, a regularly offered Cap'n flavor, and Chocolatey Crunch, which hasn't been available in stores for quite some time. The cereal itself is chocolate and raspberry-red colored.

While the cereal seems to be just starting to roll out in stores, you can buy the box in a variety pack on Amazon now, directly from Quaker Oats.
