RUTLAND, Vt. (AP) — RUTLAND, Vt. (AP) — Casella Waste Systems Inc. (CWST) on Thursday reported a loss of $1.8 million in its fourth quarter.

The Rutland, Vermont-based company said it had a loss of 3 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 13 cents per share.

The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 18 cents per share.

The provider of garbage-disposal and recycling services posted revenue of $359.6 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported profit of $25.4 million, or 46 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $1.26 billion.

Casella expects full-year revenue in the range of $1.48 billion to $1.51 billion.
