Cenovus Energy expects higher capital spending in 2024

Dec 14 (Reuters) - Canada's Cenovus Energy on Thursday forecast higher capital expenditure in 2024 as it bets on steady demand for oil amid supply tightness.
The company said it expects expenses to be between C$4.5 billion ($3.35 billion) and C$5.0 billion in 2024, higher than its estimated 2023 costs of C$4 billion to C$4.5 billion. ($1 = 1.3452 Canadian dollars) (Reporting by Sourasis Bose in Bengaluru; Editing by Mrigank Dhaniwala)
