Minneapolis Wedding and Event Planning Franchise Recognized for Family Focus
OMAHA, NE / ACCESSWIRE / August 7, 2023 / A Complete Weddings + Events franchisee received the 2023 Franchise Rockstar honor from Franchise Business Review (FBR), an independent franchise research firm. The leading "one-stop shop" wedding and event planning franchise garnered the Franchise Rockstar award in the Family-Owned Business category.

Matt Sherry started working as a DJ at his parents' franchise in 1998. After he graduated from college, he started working for the business full-time. His brother joined the company in 2006 as a videographer. The franchise initially offered only one service, DJ entertainment. However, as Complete Weddings + Events added services, Matt and Mike took over as owners in 2017 and adapted to the changing industry expectations. Today the franchise hosts an average of 900 events annually and has 60 employees. Their franchise grew by 23% in 2022 and ranks as one of the top five franchises in the system.

The Minneapolis entrepreneurs took advantage of a dip in real estate costs following the pandemic outbreak to purchase and renovate commercial property to replace their aging facility. The new location serves as a showplace for customers and is a gathering spot for their full-time and contract employees. The savvy business owners added a lounge and arcade to the facility, dubbed CrewH2, and can often be found grilling burgers and serving tacos to their employees after events.
