D.R. Horton's profit rises 53 pct

April 26 (Reuters) - D.R. Horton Inc, the largest U.S. homebuilder, reported a 53 percent rise in quarterly profit, driven by an increase in home sales.
Net income attributable to the company rose to $351 million, in the second quarter ended March 31, from $229.2 million, a year earlier. Earnings per share rose to 91 cents from 60 cents a year earlier.
