Delta Air Lines' Brand New Terminal 3 At LAX Is Now Open
Traveling through LAX soon? You should check out Delta Air Lines‘ new terminal 3. The terminal is open to the public as of October 5th, 2022.
Terminal 3 is just one of many infrastructures launched this year by Delta. The project costs $2.3 billion and is phase two of the Delta Sky Way project at LAX airport.
“LAX is one of Delta’s most important coastal hubs, and we’re committed to providing customers with the premium curb-to-claim experience they deserve,” says Scott Santoro, Vice President of Global Sales.
Delta’s brand new terminal C opened this past June at LaGuardia Airport (LAX) in New York City. New Sky Clubs opened this summer in Nashville (BNA) and Tokyo, Japan (HND).

What you can expect
The new terminal has nine new gates, lots of seating areas, self-service kiosk stations, and ceiling fixtures inspired by ocean waves.
At the opening, Delta Sky Club Managing Director Claude Roussel says, “Planning for this Delta Sky Club began back in 2018, and every detail — from the seating to the food and beverage offerings to the premium design — was selected to create a one-of-a-kind experience for guests. Whether guests visit the new Delta Sky Club to dine, work or simply enjoy the views, they’ll find much to love in this world-class lounge for a world-class airport.”
This there-phase project is a collaboration between Delta Air Lines and Los Angeles World Airport (LAWA).
Over the next few months, Terminal 3 will have retail and restaurant options such as Jamba Juice, Alfred Coffee, Chicken + Beer, Native and more.
A Delta One-exclusive Club will open in 2024, connecting to the Terminal 3 Club.
LAX and Delta
LAX is one of the most important coastal hubs for the airline. There are 135 daily flights to almost 50 destinations worldwide. Delta is also the official carrier of the Los Angeles Lakers and LA Kings.
