Dinosaurs are coming to Rehoboth Beach, in the form of a new mini golf course

Dinosaurs may be extinct, but miniature golf at the Delaware beaches is timeless.

Nick's Mini Golf, based in Ocean City, Maryland, is building its newest location in the Walmart shopping center in Rehoboth Beach.

Coastal Highway travelers may have noticed the recent addition of bright orange paint to the old Capital One Bank building, where the Jurassic-themed, indoor/outdoor course is being constructed. An animatronic dinosaur will be housed in the old bank vault, according to Nick's Mini Golf General Manager Chris Beebe.

"It's going to be pretty unique," he said, adding they hope to open the course by Memorial Day.

Nick's Mini Golf is owned by Nick Geracimos. The company has five courses in Ocean City, two in Bethany Beach and one in Dewey Beach. The Rehoboth course will be its ninth.
