DMC Global: Q4 Earnings Snapshot

BROOMFIELD, Colo. (AP) — BROOMFIELD, Colo. (AP) — DMC Global Inc. (BOOM) on Thursday reported fourth-quarter profit of $183,000.

The Broomfield, Colorado-based company said it had net income of 1 cent per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 26 cents per share.

The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 33 cents per share.

The diversified holding company posted revenue of $174 million in the period, beating Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $170.8 million.

For the year, the company reported profit of $21.4 million, or $1.08 per share. Revenue was reported as $719.2 million.

For the current quarter ending in March, DMC Global said it expects revenue in the range of $168 million to $178 million.

DMC Global shares have fallen slightly more than 7% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $17.44, a fall of 30% in the last 12 months.
