Donegal: 4Q Earnings Snapshot

MARIETTA, Pa. (AP) _ Donegal Group Inc. (DGICB) on Tuesday reported a loss of $15 million in its fourth quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Marietta, Pennsylvania-based company said it had a loss of 50 cents. Losses, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 27 cents per share.

The insurance company posted revenue of $186.8 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $195 million.

For the year, the company reported a loss of $32.8 million, or $1.09 per share, swinging to a loss in the period. Revenue was reported as $773.5 million.

Donegal shares have climbed 2 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $12.06, a decrease of 21 percent in the last 12 months.
