Drew McManigle to receive the 2024 Leadership Award from the M&A Advisor
Feb. 23—NEW YORK — The M&A Advisor is proud to announce that former Odessan Drew McManigle will be recognized as the recipient of the 2024 M&A Advisor Leadership Award. McManigle is to be honored for his significant contributions to the global restructuring industry at the 18th Annual Turnaround Awards Gala, a feature of the 2024 Distressed Investing Summit, on March 18 and 19, at The Ben luxury boutique hotel in Palm Beach, FL.

With the presentation of the 2024 M&A Advisor Leadership Award, McManigle joins a notable and exclusive community of industry leaders who have preceded him, including Corinne Ball, Randall S. McManigle, a 1974 graduate of Permian High School, is the Founder and CEO of MACCO Restructuring Group, a national, award-winning middle market interim leadership and financial advisory firm. He has led numerous companies through in and out-of-court restructurings. McManigle's global experience extends across a variety of industries, including energy exploration, production and refining, healthcare, consumer products, defense, food production, cannabis, pharmaceutical manufacturing, commercial construction, distribution, transportation, heavy equipment and hospitality. His solutions-driven leadership style has led to successful outcomes in a variety of complex and distressed situations, including overseeing domestic and foreign litigation.
During his 35-year career, McManigle has held leadership and fiduciary roles such as interim CEO, CRO, operating chapter 11 trustee, chapter 11 plan liquidating trustee, receiver and assignee. He is broadly sought after to serve as an independent director. He has represented companies, debtor or creditor interests in bankruptcy and state courts nationwide. In 2020, he was one of six professionals initially chosen to serve by the Dept. of Justice, Office of The U.S. Trustee as a Sub-Chapter V, Small Business Chapter 11 trustee in the Southern District of Texas, Houston Division. As of January 2024, he has successfully been appointed to over 25 small business cases, many of which were successful in their reorganization efforts. In 2019, McManigle re-imagined his original firm founded in 1993 after a successful, independent career together with leadership stints at a Fortune 500 dialysis provider and an L.A. based advisory firm.
McManigle attended Texas Tech University and received his bachelor's degree from the University of Houston. He has been quoted in multiple national publications and is a regular conference panelist and public speaker.
In addition to being recognized during the 2024 Distressed Investing Summit in March in Palm Beach, McManigle also will be inducted into The M&A Advisor's Hall of Fame during 2024 Future of Dealmaking Summit in November in New York.
