Drudge Report creator Matt Drudge selling Miami home 'overlooking paradise' for $3 million

The creator and editor of the Drudge Report is selling his Florida home, according to Realtor.com.

Matt Drudge, a conservative commentator, put his Miami property on the market for just under $3 million, according to Realtor.com. Drudge purchased the home in 2011 for $1.45 million.

The 5-bedroom, 4.5-bath, 6,695 square-foot property has been for sale since September.

The single-family house was built in 1976 and sits on a secluded 4.7-acre lot. The two-story home's features include travertine floors, a chef's kitchen, a main suite with a library and sitting room, and balconies "overlooking paradise," according to the listing. All doors and windows are said to open to natural forest views.

On Jan. 17, 1998, Drudge Report published a story revealing President Bill Clinton's affair with then-22-year-old White House intern Monica Lewinksy. Newsweek had uncovered the relationship but killed the story, Drudge told People in 2021.

Clinton famously denied the affair. An investigation led to perjury charges and Clinton's impeachment by the House of Representatives in 1998. He was acquitted of all charges in a Senate trial.

The story brought notoriety and fame for Drudge and lots of website traffic for Drudge Report.

Drudge Report scooped Fox News with Roger Ailes death announcement

In 2017, Drudge Report scooped Fox News on the death of the network's own founder, Roger Ailes, by posting a statement from Ailes' wife on its website, USA TODAY reported.

Ailes had been ousted as CEO at Fox News over a sexual harassment scandal less than a year earlier.
