AMSTERDAM, March 8 (Reuters) - Dutch employees of chipmaker NXP Semiconductors will go on strike on March 12 to demand higher pay, union FNV said on Friday.

Workers at NXP's factory in Nijmegen, in the east of the Netherlands, will go on strike for 24 hours, the FNV said, while actions at other sites might follow if NXP fails to meet workers' demands.

The employees are demanding a 9% wage increase and a bonus, while the company is offering only a 2.5% raise, FNV said. (Reporting by Bart Meijer, Editing by Louise Heavens)
