Elastic: Fiscal Q3 Earnings Snapshot

On a per-share basis, the Mountain View, California-based company said it had profit of $1.69. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 36 cents per share.

The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of nine analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 31 cents per share.

The software developer posted revenue of $328 million in the period, also surpassing Street forecasts. Nine analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $320.5 million.

For the current quarter ending in April, Elastic expects its per-share earnings to range from 18 cents to 20 cents.

The company said it expects revenue in the range of $328 million to $330 million for the fiscal fourth quarter.

Elastic expects full-year earnings in the range of $1.15 to $1.18 per share, with revenue expected to be $1.26 billion.
