SAN MATEO, Calif. (AP) _ Essex Property Trust Inc. (ESS) on Thursday reported a key measure of profitability in its fourth quarter. The results missed Wall Street expectations.

The average estimate of nine analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for funds from operations of $3.12 per share.

Essex Property Trust expects full-year funds from operations in the range of $11.86 to $12.46 per share.
