Fast & Furious 9 signs up Marvel star in last-minute casting
Fast & Furious 9 is gearing up further with the addition of Guardians of the Galaxy star Michael Rooker to the team.
The Yondu actor, who also appeared in The Walking Dead as Daryl Dixon's brother Merle, has become a last-minute addition to the action franchise.
According to Deadline, Rooker will play the part of Buddy, though no further details of his character have been revealed.

Rooker joins fellow newcomer John Cena in the sequel, who is set to play a "badass" role in the ninth movie.
Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Charlize Theron and Helen Mirren are all set to return to the fold. But regulars Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham are sidestepping it, following the release of their spin-off Hobbs & Shaw.

Diesel confirmed back in June that filming had begun on the ninth movie in an Instagram post, where he compared the franchise's longevity to a "miracle".
The Fast family also reunited recently to celebrate Rodriguez's birthday, with the cast sharing some behind-the-scenes footage while marking the occasion on set.
Fast & Furious 9 is expected to be released in cinemas on May 22, 2020.
