The company that makes products ranging from street sweepers to toll booth technology for government, industrial and commercial customers posted revenue of $446.4 million in the period, also surpassing Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $434.6 million.

Federal Signal expects full-year earnings in the range of $2.44 to $2.52 per share, with revenue in the range of $1.68 billion to $1.72 billion.
