Forward Air: Q4 Earnings Snapshot

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — GREENEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Forward Air Corp. (FWRD) on Wednesday reported fourth-quarter net income of $101.7 million.

On a per-share basis, the Greeneville, Tennessee-based company said it had profit of $3.93. Earnings, adjusted to account for discontinued operations, were 81 cents per share.

The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 97 cents per share.

The contractor for the air cargo industry posted revenue of $338.4 million in the period, which also fell short of Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $399.1 million.

For the year, the company reported profit of $167.4 million, or $6.40 per share. Revenue was reported as $1.37 billion.
