GetConnected 2013 Highlights Patient Engagement as Imperative for Quality Care, Performance Improvement

Sixth Annual GetWellNetwork Users Conference Will Help Hospitals Drive New Care Delivery Model Amid Paradigm Shift in Health Care Industry

BETHESDA, MD--(Marketwire - Nov 15, 2012) - GetWellNetwork, Inc.®, the leading provider of Interactive Patient Care™ (IPC) solutions, today announced its sixth annual users conference, GetConnected 2013, will be held from April 15-17, 2013 at the Hotel del Coronado in San Diego, Calif.

As the nation's health system experiences a shift to value-based care, GetConnected 2013 is designed to advance the role of patient engagement in providing quality care and achieving critical performance objectives. The three-day conference provides the essentials to strengthen leadership and effectiveness in driving the organizational change needed to integrate IPC as a care delivery model.

"The dramatic changes shaping health care today are creating imperatives for patient engagement in every aspect of care delivery," said Michael O'Neil, founder and CEO of GetWellNetwork. "GetConnected 2013 is an incredible opportunity to celebrate the successes of our community in engaging patients and improving outcomes across the care continuum. It's also the perfect time to renew our collective focus on the patient and elevate care to new levels by sharing the bold ideas, innovative breakthroughs and powerful stories that can accelerate the transformation of our health system."

Through inspirational keynote addresses, user-led sessions, poster presentations and hands-on workshops, attendees will learn best practices and acquire tools to drive integration, utilization and accountability for IPC throughout their facilities.
