It’s gone down to the wire again in PYMNTS’ latest Provider Ranking of Gig Economy Apps, as the scores of the leader and the runner-up are just one point apart.

They and the other six top-ranked apps hold the same positions in the rankings as last time, but there’s some movement among the others as three have climbed up one level and another has joined the top 10.

The Top 5

Ranked No. 1 again is Uber Driver. This app retains the top spot with a score of 95.

The runner-up is just one point behind, as DoorDash retains its position with a score of 94.

As the field starts to spread out a bit, we find the No. 3 contender nine points back. Instacart is again ranked third, now with a score of 85.

After another gap — 15 points this time — there’s Grubhub, which is ranked fourth as it was last month with a score of 70. As that score is four points higher than last time, it’s one of this month’s movers and shakers.

Also holding the same spot as last time is Amazon Flex. It’s again ranked fifth, and with a score that’s four points higher than last time — now standing at 67 — it's also a mover and shaker.

The Top 10

There’s another familiar name at No. 6, as Fiverr maintains this place with a score of 62.

In the first change of position since last month, Lyft has climbed up one level and how shares the seventh ranking with Upwork, which was here last month. Both apps have earned a score of 56.

TaskRabbit, too, has gained a position since last month. This app is now ranked eighth with a score of 52.

Next up is Freelancer, which has climbed from tenth to ninth with a score of 41.

A newcomer to the top 10 now holds the tenth spot in the rankings. Hourly online staffing platform Snagajob joins the list with a score of 32 and closes out this month’s Provider Ranking of Gig Economy Apps.
