The Toronto-based company said it had a loss of 1 cent per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 1 cent per share.

The gold mining company posted revenue of $67.7 million in the period.

In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, the company's shares hit $3.18. A year ago, they were trading at $3.90.
