Great Southern Copper fields high-grade copper and gold in Teresita rock chips

Great Southern Copper PLC (LSE:GSCU) CEO Sam Garrett is back in the Proactive studio after the explorer fielded high-grade copper and gold from rock chip sampling at the Teresita prospect in Chile.
Assays from 160 rock chips fielded up to 5.97% copper and 13.7 g/t gold, while mapping points to multiple vein-breccias outcropping over a cumulative 5-kilometre strike length.
Garrett says Great Southern’s ground position is increasing to capture the extent of Teresita’s mineralisation, with planning for scout drilling now underway.
"Exploration at Teresita over the last few months has produced very exciting results, which we are confident will translate to multiple drill targets for multiple deposit types of high-grade copper and gold mineralisation,” he told the LSE this week.
“We look forward to receiving the results of our drone magnetic survey which will help to optimise the location of drilling targets for the exploration program at Teresita."
In other news, Great Southern has also boosted its financial expertise, tapping experienced mining sector operator Martin Page to become its chief financial officer.
