The bank, based in San Jose, California, said it had earnings of 26 cents per share.

The results met Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of 26 cents per share.

The holding company for Heritage Bank of Commerce posted revenue of $63 million in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $47.6 million, which fell short of Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $47.8 million.
