Hilltop Holdings: Q4 Earnings Snapshot

DALLAS (AP) — DALLAS (AP) — Hilltop Holdings Inc. (HTH) on Thursday reported fourth-quarter earnings of $28.7 million.

The Dallas-based bank said it had earnings of 44 cents per share.

The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 40 cents per share.

The insurance holding compnay posted revenue of $395.7 million in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $290.2 million, which missed Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $295.5 million.

For the year, the company reported profit of $109.6 million, or $1.69 per share. Revenue was reported as $1.2 billion.
