Housing market spotlight: Check out trends in Castalian Springs

Every Sunday, The Tennessean highlights a different ZIP code, as we strive to inform readers and help them navigate Middle Tennessee’s red hot real estate market.

About 40 miles northeast of downtown Nashville, we find ZIP code 37031, which is home to the town of Castalian Springs in the southeast corner of Sumner County and a piece of Trousdale County. Three historic house museums here are Cragfont, Wynnewood and Hawthorn Hill. Nearby is Bledsoe's Creek State Park, which hosts the annual County Sumner Irish Fest each March.

The County Sumner Irish Festival, presented by Sumner County Tourism in partnership with Bledsoe’s Lick Historical Association, drew a large crowd to Bledsoe’s Fort Historical Park in Castalian Springs on Saturday, March 7.

Median home price in ZIP 37031 rose from $329,000 at this time in 2021 to $365,000 as of June 6.

Closings up

Home buyers closed on 26 homes as of this time last year. This year so far, home buyers have closed on 33 homes here. Current inventory in 37031 is 8 homes.
