Major Indian Newspaper Runs Big Ad Telling Men To Respect Women
A horrific gang rape in Delhi, India, has brought a focus to India's mistreatment of women, with a string of protests and articles in the last few months.
According to Reddit user nholiver, India's largest circulation English-language newspaper, the Times of India, has recently taken out this enormous quarter page ad telling male readers to that if they don't respect women they are only "half a man."

What's perhaps most remarkable about this is that the Times of India is not a respected newspaper — in fact it is instead generally seen as having brought journalistic standards in India down to their lowest levels in years. Regardless, it is an example of how gender rights issue in India has gone mainstream.
