FAIRFAX, VA--(Marketwired - Jan 27, 2015) - Invincea, Inc., the market leader in advanced endpoint threat protection, today announced that 2014 was a record year in the company's history with increased momentum and major milestones, including:

  • Major market acceleration/adoption shift during the second half of 2014 generated record-breaking quarter-over-quarter and year-over-year growth. Invincea grew software product sales by nearly double year-over-year in Q4 and overall in the second half of 2014, over the same period in 2013.

  • Added significant Fortune 100 lighthouse accounts in Financial Services & Defense sectors, while adding more than 250 new enterprise customers in Q4 alone across all major industry verticals. This includes large enterprise license agreements (ELAs) in major accounts; and significant customer growth globally driven through Invincea's Dell OEM partnership.

  • Further protected its market-leader status with patents awarded by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) that grew the company's portfolio in isolation, containerization and detection techniques for protecting operating systems from targeted attacks. The company was granted three new patents including: Patent #8,839,422 for "Virtual Browsing Environment;" Patent #8,856,782 for "On-Demand Disposable Virtual Work System;" and Patent No. 8,935,773 for "Malware Detector."

  • Grew revenue in Invincea Labs research division by 150% over 2013, while successfully launching its Cynomix crowdsourced malware analysis platform in Invincea Research Edition and at Cynomix.org. Hundreds of malware forensic analysts are now using Invincea Research Edition.

  • Appointed globally-respected security expertise and leadership to its advisory and executive team in 2014. NetWitness co-founders Amit Yoran and Tim Belcher joined the advisory team last September. RSA Security President Amit Yoran took an independent seat on the Invincea Board of Directors and Tim Belcher serves as a strategic technical advisor for Invincea. The company also appointed Norm Laudermilch, former chief operating officer (COO) and CISO for the Terremark Federal Group (part of Verizon), as the company's first COO.

  • Continued expansion of Invincea's integrated threat intelligence network for the enterprise via partnerships with Palo Alto Networks' WildFire platform and ThreatGRID® and ReversingLabs.

"We will remember 2014 as notable for significant public breaches in large companies that were protected by best-of-breed network detection appliances," said Founder and CEO Anup Ghosh of Invincea. "The substantial momentum Invincea is experiencing is a direct result of the failure of network defenses and traditional anti-virus to counter the threats enterprises face today. The demand is high across all sectors. We are seeing significant adoption in the Fortune 100, and in financial services, defense industrial, and Federal sectors. Our surging growth also underscores the maturity of our solution and position as the leader in advanced threat protection on endpoints. Invincea Labs brings strategic innovation to our products by creating and patenting technology solutions to hard national security problems funded by agencies like DARPA."

"2014 is another banner year in a string of banner years," said Global VP of Sales Christopher M. Smith at Invincea. "The most encouraging aspects that showcase our continued expansion and opportunities for growth are the multi-vertical adoption across Fortune 100 companies, and large accounts that are standardizing on Invincea -- augmenting the massive advantage we have with our Dell relationship. We are poised to capture a disproportionate share of the endpoint market for FY'15, expanding on our current leadership position. Most importantly, as we enhance our current platform, we will continue driving business value to our new and existing clients."

Invincea is recognized as providing one of most advanced malware prevention solutions in the market.

Just this month, Invincea was named one of the 20 Most Promising Defense Technology Solution providers of 2014 by CIO Review. In 2013, Invincea won the Northern Virginia Technology Council Innovators Award as well as "Best Anti-Malware Solution" in 2012 and 2013 by Government Security News. Together, these solutions offer a unique ability to protect enterprise networks without requiring prior knowledge of attacks, commonly called attack signatures, against all types of threats directed at end-users, including zero-days, by seamlessly moving applications that run untrusted content into controlled, secure virtual containers that automatically detect and terminate threats in real time.
