‘Iron Sky The Coming Race’ Secures International Cast

PARIS– “Crossing Lines” thesp Lara Rossi is set to topline Timo Vuorensola’s “Iron Sky The Coming Race,” the sequel of the Finnish sci-fi spoof.

Rossi will star as Obi, the hard-headed and fiery daughter of Renate Richter, the main character of the original Iron Sky film, whose mission is sustain what is left of mankind.

Russian-born Vladimir Burlakov and Kit Dale will complete the cast, along with Udo Kier (“Ace Ventura”) Julia Dietze, Tom Green (Charlie’s Angels”).

Budgeted at 17 million Euros, “Iron Sky the Coming Race” will begin shooting on Oct. 19 at AED Studios in Antwerp in Belgium. Pic is the biggest live-action movie in the history of Finnish filmmaking.

Pic is produced by Tero Kaukomaa, Samuli Torssonen and Vuorensola through Iron Sky Universe, which also orchestrated a crowdfunding campaign to raise a part of the budget.

Iron Sky Universe is also producing a TV skein, games and other related products.

“Iron Sky The Coming Race” will be released in 2017.
