Justin Bieber Calls for Popsicle To Bring Back the 'Double Pop'
Justin Bieber was looking for an ice-cold treat during the heatwave, and after realizing his favorite popsicle is no longer in production, is on a quest to bring back the frozen favorite.
The "What Do You Mean" singer has started a campaign to bring back the famed "Double Pop" popsicles, formerly made by the Popsicle company.
The movement is now gaining traction after Justin Bieber tweeted out that he could not find the special two-stick frozen treats in stores.
“Talking with @scooterbraun and we just realized we can’t find double stick popsicles!! This is crazy. @Popsicle we need those back!” the pop star tweeted to his millions of fans.
Fans quickly liked and retweeted the post while tagging Popsicle’s Twitter page to re-release the Double Pops.
In response, Popsicle launched their own Twitter campaign to #BringBackTheDouble, stating if they received 100,000 retweets, the brand will bring back the popular treat.
“A limited batch has landed – but for 100K retweets we’ll bring back the Double Pop fun for everyone. Who’s in? RT this tweet & we’ll alert you on 7/23 with the results. #BringBackTheDouble”
The popular popsicle brand is going all-out because they really want Bieber to get his wish. In another tweet they wrote, "Hey @justinbieber – you asked where are the @PopsicleDouble Pops? Well, you better belieb we made a special batch just for you and@scooterbraun! They’re coming in hot… well, cold actually, because you know… Popsicle!"
As of now the cold treat has just under 49k retweets but with the backing of Bieber we are pretty sure that we will be seeing the Double Pops back in stores soon.
