Largest option buying in equities so far
Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.
Anadarko Petroleum (APC): Some 60,000 January 80 calls were purchased for $1.08 as investors position for upside in the energy stock. APC is up 1.16 percent to $74.36.
JP Morgan (JPM): Traders bought 14,000 January 45 calls, mostly for $0.17, looking for the bank to climb. JPM is up 0.99 percent to $40.97.
Citigroup (C): Some 12,000 January 37 calls were bought for $085 to $1.10 as investors look for upside in the share price. C is up 4.96 percent to $35.99.
Research In Motion (RIMM): More than 13,500 December 10 puts were bought, mostly for $0.26 to $0.28, as investors look for downside in the share price. RIMMis up 0.48 percent to $11.61.
