Largest option buying in equities so far

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Micron (MU): some 8,600 January 7.50 calls were bought for $0.15 as investors position for upside in the share price. MU rose 0.15 percent to $6.72.

Chesapeake Energy (CHK): Almost 11,000 January 16 puts were bought for $0.47 to $0.48 as investors brace for potential downside in the natural-gas stock. CHK fell 1.30 percent to $16.74.

Allscripts Healthcare Solutions (MDRX): An investor sold 10,000 December 11 calls for $0.60 and bought 10,000 March 13 calls for $0.70. Volume was below open interest at both strikes.
MDRX fell 1.22 percent to $10.94.

Sprint Nextel (S): Almost 11,000 January 2014 10 calls were bought for $0.10 but volume was far below open interest at the strike. S fell 0.53 percent to $5.63.
