Yeezy 2024 releases: Adidas selling Kanye West shoes in online draw
Adidas' Yeezy shoes have been consistently featured on their app this month. Surprisingly, pairs are still in stock, a departure from their typical instant sell-out status.
On March 12, the Yeezy Foam Runner model in adult sizing in an MX Granite colorway for $90 and a Yeezy Slide in a salt colorway for $70 appeared across Adidas apps.
The products can only be purchased through an online draw. Customers can participate through the app, and the entry deadline is 8 a.m. MT on March 15.
On March 8, the Yeezy 500 model in full-family sizing (adults $210, kids $145 and infants $125) in a stone salt colorway and a Yeezy 350 v2 in a flax colorway for $230 appeared across Adidas apps.
Along with the 500 models, a Yeezy Slide is still for sale in a dark onyx colorway.
The 500 model was initially available to purchase through an online draw, and the deadline to enter was March 11. The shoes, however, are still loaded in the app and can now be purchased instantly without any draw. It is highly unusual for a Yeezy drop to remain after the deadline. However, we got the same result from Adidas' first drop in 2024. Their first release, on Feb. 26, featured a steel grey colorway of the Yeezy 350 v2, which prompted Ye to share his thoughts on the sale.
Ye, the rapper formerly known as Kanye West, took to Instagram to address the sale by the German sportswear company.
"Anybody who loves Ye would not buy these fake Yeezys I never made these color ways I'm not getting paid off of them and adidas is suing me," he posted.
Ye also criticized the public and celebrities for prioritizing trivial matters like fashion choices over serious issues such as child custody battles and corporate misconduct.

"All the new non approved 350's are cooorny and everybody know the 350 been corny," he concluded."
The first collection of shoes, released in June 2023, quickly sold out and contributed to the company's better-than-expected operating profit of 176 million euros in the second quarter, according to Adidas last year.
The German sportswear giant ended its partnership with Ye in October 2022 following the designer's antisemitic remarks on social media and in interviews. The company called Ye's comments "unacceptable, hateful and dangerous" at the time.
Adidas has provided its financial forecast for 2024. The company anticipates that currency-neutral sales will increase by a mid-single-digit percentage. This projection assumes that Adidas will sell the remaining Yeezy inventory at cost, leading to sales of $271 million (250 million euros) in 2024.
Yeezy Pods delayed?
Yeezy Pods, his first footwear since breaking ties with Adidas, are for sale on his website and listed for $20. The info on the site mentions the product will ship in 4 weeks. However, X users have posted that they have not received merchandise beyond the mentioned timeframe. Buyer beware?
