Meghan Markle Calls Prince Harry by the Adorable Nickname "H"
Meghan Markle revealed her sweet nickname for Prince Harry in new documentary Harry & Meghan: An African Journey.
Meghan let it slip that she calls her husband "H" while discussing how the couple deals with intense media scrutiny.
The duchess also revealed that her British friends warned her against marrying into the royal family.
New documentary Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, which is set to air in the U.S. on ABC on Wednesday, October 23, tracks the recent royal tour of south Africa embarked upon by the Sussexes.
In several very candid interviews, both Harry and Meghan opened up about facing immense criticism, particularly in the British press, since becoming a couple.
But in an extremely sweet moment during the documentary, Meghan revealed that she has a special nickname for her husband, calling Harry simply by the letter "H." After making the admission on camera, the Duchess of Sussex couldn't help but start smiling, which was beyond adorable.
In the same documentary, Duchess Meghan also emotionally revealed that she'd been warned against marrying Prince Harry by some of her British friends, who were extremely concerned about the tabloid press. She explained, "In all fairness, I had no idea, which probably sounds difficult to understand."
Discussing the warning she received, the duchess said, "But when I first met Harry, my friends were so excited. My U.S. friends were happy because I was happy. But my British friends, they were sure he was lovely, but they said I shouldn't do it because, 'The British tabloids will destroy your life.'"
Harry & Meghan: An African Journey will air in the U.S. on ABC on Wednesday, October 23 at 10 p.m. ET.
