Michael Kors spikes on blowout report

Guidance Is Raised Following Strong Results

Michael Kors earned $0.64 a share in its third quarter on revenue of $636.8 million. Those numbers crushed consensus estimates of $0.41 and $540.3 million, respectively. Management also raised guidance for its full year. KORS is up 10 percent before the bell on my tradeMONSTER platform.

Masco Earnings, Revenue Beat Consensus

Masco reported fourth-quarter profit of $0.04 a share, while analysts had expected a loss of $0.01. Revenue of $1.9 billion exceeded the $1.8 million estimate. That's sending MAS higher by 7 percent in early trading.

Barclays Climbs on Planned Job Cuts

Barclays plans to cut at least 3,700 jobs and will shy away from risky activities, according to the plan of new CEO Antony Jenkins. BCS is rallying almost 7 percent on the news.
