Investing.com -- Stocks were falling on Thursday after weak earnings from AT&T and pinched margins at Tesla. Here are the market movers for April 20.

AT&T Inc (NYSE:T) shares fell 10.3% after the telecommunications giant reported lower earnings and revenue than one year ago and slowing subscriber growth. Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) shares fell 8.9% after the electric vehicle maker met expectations for earnings but reported a smaller gross profit margin than expected after several price cuts this year. DR Horton Inc (NYSE:DHI) shares rose 6.5% after the homebuilder reported better-than-expected earnings for the fiscal second quarter despite higher mortgage rates that have kept many buyers on the sidelines. Snap-On Inc (NYSE:SNA) shares jumped 9.6% after the maker of tools used to fix automobiles reported solid first quarter numbers. The move made it the top gaining stock in the S&P 500 on Thursday.

Las Vegas Sands Corp (NYSE:LVS) shares rose 5% after the casino and resort operator reported better-than-expected earnings and revenue for the quarter on a rebound in business in Macau and Singapore.
