Natural Grocers: Fiscal 1Q Earnings Snapshot

LAKEWOOD, Colo. (AP) _ Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage Inc. (NGVC) on Thursday reported fiscal first-quarter profit of $2.2 million.

On a per-share basis, the Lakewood, Colorado-based company said it had net income of 10 cents.

The retailer of natural and organic groceries and dietary supplements posted revenue of $221.5 million in the period.

Natural Grocers expects full-year earnings to be 33 cents to 40 cents per share.

Natural Grocers shares have declined slightly more than 8 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $14.04, a climb of 99 percent in the last 12 months.
