Navigant: 3Q Earnings Snapshot

CHICAGO (AP) _ Navigant Consulting Inc. (NCI) on Thursday reported third-quarter earnings of $74 million.

On a per-share basis, the Chicago-based company said it had net income of $1.61. Earnings, adjusted to account for discontinued operations and non-recurring gains, were 15 cents per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 11 cents per share.

The consulting company posted revenue of $187.6 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $171.4 million, which also topped Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $169.3 million.

Navigant expects full-year revenue in the range of $740 million to $765 million.

Navigant shares have climbed 13 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has increased 27 percent in the last 12 months.
