One Of Apple's Top Vice Presidents, Bob Mansfield, Is No Longer On The Executive Team

Bob Mansfield, one of Apple's senior vice presidents, is no longer part of Apple's executive team, Apple said in a statement to AllThingsD and other outlets.

Apple says Mansfield will still continue to work at the company on "special projects."

Several Apple blogs picked up on the move when Mansfield disappeared from the company's executive bios page.

Mansfield attempted to retire from Apple last year, but was brought back a few months later. He's not scheduled to leave the company until at least the end of 2014.
