NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - May 30, 2015) - This spring, Premier Traveler (PT) magazine garnered a first-place award from the Society of American Travel Writers (SATW), an organization dating back to 1955. The magazine and its Features Editor Janet Forman, were crowned for articles that were published in the magazine: "Editors Letter," in which Forman recalls when she first fell in love with travel while making lifelong friends, won Best Magazine Article - Romance; and "Food For Flight," a feature noting the pioneering airline kitchens riding the newest wave, Won Best Magazine Article - Food and Wine - second place.

The articles were selected from entries submitted by professional travel writers and photographers from across the country. Submissions that have won SATW awards in years past were published in such prominent outlets as the Boston Globe, International Travel News, the Miami Herald, and National Geographic Traveler.

SAWT Chairman, Laura Phillips Bennett in a note quoted:
"This is a first in the record books - as far as we know no Editor's Letter has ever won this contest. This is especially significant considering that Janet's entry was being judged against several hundred other entries from some of the top travel writers in the USA."

"PT is honored that such a well established organization as SATW has recognized the exceptional-quality of our content," said PT CEO Jake Porter. "And, although our entire staff is to be commended on their efforts and contributions, we congratulate Janet Forman on her record breaking achievement."

"PT's Executive Director Adam Rodriguez who leads our team in his own energetic style has a top-notch, high-energy team," remarked Publisher Anthony Giani. "His insistence (or demands) that the magazine produces content that will address and inform the needs of today's modern, worldly and savvy jet setter are unwavering. With an infectious enthusiasm, Rodriguez delivers a unique publication geared towards a new breed of Traveler - one that embraces a hip and elite lifestyle all its own."

"We're delighted to confirm that PT's superior articles are not only engaging to readers, but to travel-industry professionals as well," beamed Rodriguez, repeating, "You ain't seen nothin' yet!"
