The in-person interview was joined by Editor-at-Large Jarrett Banks and they discussed how shareholder proposals are very precise for proxy season.

They also talked about activist campaigns as they relate to material business risks and opportunities like the case of Starbucks Corp. (Nasdaq: SBUX) and Norfolk Southern Corp. (NYSE: NSC), two entities speaking to the operations of the company and the people critical to their success, like employees, key management and board accountability.

Prior to joining Longacre Square, Jessica spent seven years on the BlackRock Investment Stewardship team, where she was responsible for overseeing engagement and proxy voting activities for companies within the industrials and materials sectors in the US and Canada. Prior to BlackRock, Jessica served in a similar role at TIAA.

Jessica has over 13 years’ experience in the investment stewardship and ESG advisory space. She graduated with a B.A. from the University of Virginia.
