PTC Inc.: Fiscal 2Q Earnings Snapshot

BOSTON (AP) _ PTC Inc. (PTC) on Wednesday reported a fiscal second-quarter loss of $12 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

The Boston-based company said it had a loss of 10 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 38 cents per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 34 cents per share.

The product development software maker posted revenue of $315.5 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $315.7 million, also beating Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $311.4 million.

PTC Inc. shares have increased 23 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has increased 22 percent in the last 12 months.
