San Patricio County sheriff: Austin-area man who drowned at Lake Corpus Christi identified
An Austin-area man drowned Sunday evening at Lake Corpus Christi State Park, a Facebook post from San Patricio County Sheriff Oscar Rivera stated on Monday.
Rivera identified the man as Luvango Musungira on Monday evening.
Rivera said the 25-year-old man from Manor was in town visiting his girlfriend and family when the incident occurred.
The man drowned after swimming near the pier in the park, according to the post. His body was later located by law enforcement using sonar equipment.
Rivera said state park officers, Texas Parks & Wildlife Department game wardens and San Patricio County deputies were all on the scene.
