LAUREL, Miss. (AP) _ Sanderson Farms Inc. (SAFM) on Thursday reported fiscal second-quarter net income of $40.6 million.
On a per-share basis, the Laurel, Mississippi-based company said it had net income of $1.83.
The poultry producer posted revenue of $845.2 million in the period.
Sanderson Farms shares have risen 40% since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 35% in the last 12 months.
