SANTIAGO CHILE, Chile (AP) — SANTIAGO CHILE, Chile (AP) — Sociedad Quimica y Minera de Chile SA (SQM) on Wednesday reported fourth-quarter net income of $203.2 million.

On a per-share basis, the Santiago Chile, Chile-based company said it had profit of 71 cents.

The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.22 per share.

The chemicals company posted revenue of $1.31 billion in the period, which also fell short of Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.36 billion.

For the year, the company reported profit of $2.01 billion, or $7.05 per share. Revenue was reported as $7.47 billion.
