It appears the late Stan Lee did not film a cameo for the next X-Men movie Dark Phoenix, but he will feature in forthcoming Disney film Ralph Breaks the Internet.

The Marvel icon, who created legendary characters such as The Hulk, Iron Man and Spider-Man; as well as the X-Men and Fantastic Four, passed away on Monday (November 12) with tributes pouring in across social media.

The 95-year-old was renowned for making cameo appearances in a host of Marvel and Disney-related pictures - as well as television series such as The Big Bang Theory.

And, while Entertainment Weekly reports that the comic book creator will not cameo in X-Men: Dark Phoenix (despite several other X-Men movie appearances), The Wrap understands he will appear in Disney's animated sequel Ralph Breaks the Internet, which hits cinemas in the UK next week.

It's thought Stan will appear in a scene in which he is almost knocked over by Vanellope von Schweetz (Sarah Silverman), as she bobs and weaves her way through the hallways of the Oh My Disney fansite in order to avoid some Star Wars Stormtroopers giving chase.

And, after making an appearance as Peter Parker's bus driver in the 2018 smash Avengers: Infinity War, the late writer is predicted to crop up in Avengers 4, and the forthcoming Captain Marvel.

According to Marvel boss Kevin Feige, the comic company is also working on another way to honour Stan Lee's legacy, so watch this space.
