Standard Motor Products: 4Q Earnings Snapshot

LONG ISLAND CITY, N.Y. (AP) _ Standard Motor Products Inc. (SMP) on Thursday reported fourth-quarter net income of $3.3 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the Long Island City, New York-based company said it had net income of 14 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 52 cents per share.

The auto parts maker posted revenue of $247 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported profit of $43 million, or $1.88 per share. Revenue was reported as $1.09 billion.

Standard Motor Products shares have climbed 6.5 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed slightly more than 9 percent in the last 12 months.
