Summit Assets Group Works In Partnership With Communities To Make A Difference

Summit Assets Group has adopted a new slogan this year, “Make a Difference”. According to Lori Greymont, CEO and founder, this is not just a catch phrase to give a warm fuzzy feeling. The idea behind this slogan is to intricately weave into every service of the business, focused effort on making a tangible difference for everyone who aligns themselves with Summits business model. Greymont has a goal to align all business activities in such a way as to make a very positive impact on people and communities at large through the company’s real estate training, teaching, coaching and investing.

Summit Assets Group doesn’t stop there. Greymont not only wants to make an impact through Real Estate investing and training but also partnering with other organizations through her Not for Profit “Restoring Hope Charity”, which has a vision and mission to partner with independent not for profits and local business professionals to solve community problems on the street level, such as housing for the homeless.

For example, the Atlanta area has been a very profitable location for investing in the Real Estate market the last several years. During Summits focus on acquiring homes and renovation projects, the company developed a partnership with Community Share Ministries as well as a number of local vendors and contractors. Community Share is a homeless shelter founded by Jason Slaughter. When Summit was first introduced to Community Share, they had one home for approximately 15 men and they were looking for another home. The shelter takes homeless men off the street and gives them a hand up, not a hand out. The idea is to help people who have lost hope to be productive citizens again.

When Summit had a three day real estate buying event in Atlanta for real estate investors from all over the country, the company incorporated their vision for giving back to the community at the event. Saturday night after the investment property bus tour, there was a dinner event for tour attendees to relax, network with other investors, and enjoy great food. After dinner, Slaughter was asked to share a little bit about Community Share Ministries efforts. Then a couple of the local people helped by Community Share talked about their life changing experiences at the shelter. Greymont, on behalf of Summit Assets Group, then presented a sizable check to Jason Slaughter in support of Community Share. It was a landmark evening for all who attended.

Community Share Ministries had recently received a 200 plus year old home to use for a women’s shelter to help keep women off the street. The entire Summit team and partners in Atlanta spent all day Sunday painting, doing yard work and making repairs on the beautiful pre-civil war home. The house looked like it had men and women hanging all over it. From the front porch to the roof, all around the sides, on ladders and every place in between there were volunteer workers doing all they could to give this house a beautiful and much needed face lift.

It was quite amazing to see a community of professionals all come together to serve this organization in its effort to help homeless women find shelter and be given an opportunity to have another chance at life. All the hard work was worth it when the team received heartfelt thanks from the women at the shelter, grateful to have a second chance and anxious to get back on their feet again.
