Teledyne DALSA Launches Digital X-Ray Detectors for Real-Time Imaging in Non-Destructive Testing
New CMOS X-ray cameras deliver twice the resolution of amorphous silicon based detectors

Teledyne DALSA, a Teledyne Technologies company and global leader in digital X-ray image sensing, today introduced two new models in its Shad-o-Box HS X-ray detector line. The new Shad-o-Box 3K HS and Shad-o-Box 6K HS cameras will be featured at Vision China, taking place at the Shanghai New International Expo Center, booth #1322, March 18-20th.
The new detectors feature resolutions of 2304 by 1300 and 2304 by 2940 pixels, with active areas of 11.4 x 6.4 cm and 11.4 x 14.6 cm respectively. Both models use a 49.5 micron pixel size. The new Shad-o-Box HS detectors deliver real-time frame rates of up to 10 fps, high sensitivity, and superb resolution in a single-tile, large area device that is fully integrated and features a fast, reliable Gigabit Ethernet interface.
The detectors offer a unique combination of higher resolution and fast imaging suitable for industrial X-ray inspection, scientific imaging, and non-destructive testing, including Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Inspection, Microfocus Computed Tomography (CT) and small-animal imaging.
