Trump administration pursuing sale of F-16's to Bahrain -source

WASHINGTON, March 29 (Reuters) - President Donald Trump's administration has informed Congress of its plan to restart the congressional review period for the sale of 19 Lockheed Martin F-16 aircraft to Bahrain, along with 23 engines and other related equipment, a congressional source said on Wednesday.

Congress was originally notified of the sale in September 2016 by former President Barack Obama's administration, but it was pulled back because of human rights concerns. The Trump administration has separated the human rights issues from the transfer, the source said.
