Trustmark: 3Q Earnings Snapshot

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) _ Trustmark Corp. (TRMK) on Tuesday reported third-quarter earnings of $36.3 million.

The Jackson, Mississippi-based bank said it had earnings of 54 cents per share.

The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 58 cents per share.

The holding company for Trustmark National Bank posted revenue of $175 million in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $157.2 million, exceeding Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $151.9 million.

Trustmark shares have decreased almost 5 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $30.33, a decrease of nearly 9 percent in the last 12 months.
